"Administrative Bloat": Irascible Professor Blog
"Administrative bloat" is not on my Top Ten List of evil things in academia. Nevertheless, since this is a perennial issue at my campus, I pass along the following post from a blog in California.

Given the competition for scarce resources and the impacts in particular on tuition costs, may I suggest that administrative bloat should make it into your top 10 acadmic evils list? (Disclosure: I'm the author of the linked piece.)
Actually, I AM coming around to that viewpoint. Administrative bloat coupled with the Peter Principle!
